What Is Tapping?

Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)

"Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a method we can use to help you deal with your emotions and reduce stress or anxiety. It's like a combination of talk therapy and acupressure.



In an EFT session, we'll start by identifying an emotional issue or a specific problem you want to work on. Then, we'll begin the tapping process. You'll gently tap on specific points on your face, upper body, and hands with your fingertips while we discuss the issue and how it makes you feel.

While you tap, we'll use short phrases or affirmations related to the problem. This helps your mind and body to connect and address the issue. After a round of tapping, we'll check in to see how you're feeling about the problem. The goal is to reduce the emotional intensity you're experiencing.

We might repeat the tapping process as needed until you feel better or the issue becomes more manageable. EFT is a tool that can empower you to work through your emotions and find relief from stress, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. It's a gentle and effective way to address your feelings and promote emotional well-being."
